Welcome

It is often difficult to navigate a society dominated by heteronormativity, ableism, and neuronormative expectations. It can be challenging to feel seen and heard by individuals who have a limited perspective of gender, queerness and diverse neurotypes. Given my queer identities and lived experience as a late-realized autistic individual, I strive to cultivate a compassionate support space as an AuDHD peer support coach for those seeking growth self-understanding. I am dedicated to promoting acceptance and advocating for non-neuronormative and neuroqueer community.

Additionally, I have experience in working with disabled individuals and those living with chronic pain/illness. I collaboratively work with clients to create a space to process and receive validation around their own experience of disability. I am dedicated to continue unlearning my own internalized ableism and address ableist perspectives that dominate the narratives around disability.

I work from a social justice orientation and I am primarily concerned with the client’s sense of safety and validation regarding issues of race, gender, sexuality, neurodiversity, and other key identity factors.

My Background & Training

I have been serving neurodivergent and gender-expansive communities since 2019.

  • I began my professional career as a licensed therapist in community mental health in Oregon

  • I opened a solo private practice in Texas in 2021

  • I currently continue to practice as a licensed therapist for residents of Oregon, under a separate therapy practice

While my coaching work is not therapy, it is deeply informed by:

  • Years of clinical training and experience

  • Ongoing education in neuro-affirming and gender/queer-affirming care

  • Lived experience within the communities I serve

I bring this knowledge into coaching while maintaining clear ethical and professional boundaries around scope of practice.

About me

My name is Dan, though I also go by Daniel and use he/they pronouns interchangeably. I am an openly trans, AuDHD and disabled peer support coach. I specialize in issues relating to gender, queer identity, autism, and adhd. While I have a passion for serving the queer and gender expansive community, I welcome clients from all backgrounds and experiences.

Community, Consultation, and Care

I am a member of an autistic peer support coaching collective, alongside other professionals dedicated to supporting AuDHDers in ways that are explicitly neurodivergent-informed and empowering.

I also regularly consult with transgender and gender-expansive professionals to ensure that my work remains affirming, ethical, and responsive, especially given the evolving socio-political climate impacting our communities in 2025 and beyond.

My goal is to offer support that is not only affirming, but also grounded, thoughtful, and attentive to safety and autonomy.

Peer Support and Coaching

This is peer support and coaching, not therapy or mental health treatment. It’s a good fit for people who are not looking to work on urgent mental health concerns, and who want support with understanding themselves, building skills, and moving toward goals in a practical, supportive way.

I offer AuDHD peer support for people who are:

  • Curious about neurodivergence, autism, adhd

  • Newly diagnosed or self-identified

  • Or have known for a long time and want support at a deeper or different level

As a peer, I bring lived experience along with training and tools. You are the expert on your own life. My role is to offer shared language, perspective, and strategies that many autistic, ADHD, and AuDHD people find useful.

Sessions usually feel like a guided conversation. We might:

  • Notice patterns in thinking, behavior, or energy

  • Talk about sensory needs and nervous system states

  • Connect choices and challenges to your values

  • Experiment with tools that support daily life

You don’t need to explain or justify your experience. You can stim, move, take breaks, or think out loud.

This work is usually future-focused and strengths-based. We spend less time processing the past in detail and more time on:

  • What’s working

  • What feels hard right now

  • What you want more or less of

  • Small, accessible steps forward

Support can be short-term or ongoing, depending on what works best for you.

AuDHD Peer Support

Gender Transition Support

I also offer peer support for gender exploration and transition. This space is for anyone who wants to better understand their relationship to gender, whether you are questioning, exploring, or actively transitioning. We can talk through identity, feelings, and decisions at your pace. Medical transition does not need to be part of this for the support to be relevant or affirming.

Fees

60 minute session rates: $100 - 175

The cost of each session reflects more than just our time together in the 60-minute appointment. It also includes the work I do outside of sessions to support your care: writing notes, responding to emails, preparing personalized resources, doing research relevant to your lived experience, and engaging in ongoing training focused on non-neuronormative, queer-affirming, and trauma-informed care. This behind-the-scenes work helps ensure that our time together is thoughtful, responsive, and grounded in respect for your specific needs.

I work with each client to find a fee and frequency that feels sustainable. Some clients meet weekly, others only need biweekly or monthly sessions. Fees and meeting schedules can fluctuate depending on life changes, level of need, and coaching goals.

  • Accessible Rate: $100

Choosing this rate means participating in a system of mutual aid and tapping into community wealth. The accessible rate is set below the cost of providing the service, designed for those with limited financial resources. I believe that everyone has a right to supportive and affirming spaces, and access to these should not be limited by financial means.

  • Sustainable Rate: $150

Opting for this rate means paying the "regular rate" for the service. The sustainable rate ensures the service is provided in a way that supports the sustainability of community-centered care work.

  • Equitable Rate: $175

When people choose this rate, they are choosing to radically redistribute wealth to community, and help ensure that I can continue to offer services to others for below cost.

**These services are not a substitute for psychotherapy or medical care, and I am happy to help with referrals if therapy or clinical support would be more appropriate. No diagnosis is needed and there are no residency requirements to engage in coaching services. This service cannot be billed to insurance.
